Have questions?

What cabling product lines do you /support?

We have personnel trained and certified in most of the major product lines. However our primary products are the CommScope SYSTIMAX and Uniprise products. We are certified for both manufacturers' extended warranty programs and have extensive relationships with both companies. We have also joined the Belden IBDN Global Services program, and will be supporting their efforts.

Where do you have actual offices?

Our headquarters is in Denver, and our branch offices are in Ashburn, Virginia and Santa Monica, California. We have permanent crews in Seattle, Northern California, Phoenix and Dallas, so those cities are likely to have real offices in the near future.

How do you service other cities?

We currently have 90% of our crew members set up to travel wherever our clients maintain facilities. We also have resident crews in Denver, Virginia/Maryland/DC, Dallas, the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Dallas. This allows us to quickly service those areas, while maintaining the flexibility to support our clients on a national/global basis.

How can you be competitive if you have to travel to most cities?

Well, let's be honest. Our quality of work is second to none, and our clients recognize this and place value on the quality of our work. While we are not the cheapest game in town, neither are we the most expensive, and the value we deliver is exceptional. Our clients find that we can deliver their projects faster and with much higher quality than they experience with typical local contractors. Our clients also recognize the value in using a single contractor to deliver projects throughout the country, rather than having to educate different crews in each city where they maintain facilities. We are exceptionally proficient in handling national/global buildouts and equipment rollouts. We also specialize in accelerated deployments, where schedules become very compressed, and deadlines absolutely cannot be missed.

With all that being said, we are also competitively priced, and welcome the opportunity to provide a bid for your next project.

Do you subcontract the work to other companies?

There are rare occasions when we will subcontract work to other companies, particularly in cities where unions are very strong. We maintain very strong relationships with partners in New York, New Jersey, Chicago, St. Louis and Portland to specifically address those markets. In any case where the installation work is subcontracted, we provide full-time on-site project management and oversight. You can rest assured that we never simply turn a project over to someone else - you will always have a full-time NetStructures project manager to work with.

Please note that this applies to all work except cooling installation. A small amount of AC electrical and all mechanical installation work is subcontracted, as it is simply not feasible to maintain electrical and mechanical contractor licenses in every state. DC power is primarily handled by our in-house staff, or by a single key partner with whom we have a very strong relationship. All DC work is performed with at least one Level 4+ installer leading the crew.

Do you use temporary workers?

To date, we have resisted this business model. Nearly all of our competitors utilize temporary workers, some for up to 75% of the actual work! While there are certainly some economies to this approach, we feel that it is impossible to maintain quality control when doing work in this manner, and therefore have elected to perform nearly all of the work ourselves. To date, we have used temporary labor very sparingly, and this represented less than 1% of the total work performed.

This brings up another key point to our success - we provide extensive training for our team members and regard ongoing education as a key component of both an individual's and the company's ability to succeed. We maintain SYSTIMAX certifications for nearly all of our technicians and all of our sales and project management personnel. We intend to have 100% certification completed by mid-summer, 2008. We have numerous individual technicians and managers with certifications in AMP, Belden, KRONE (now ADC), Panduit, Siemon and other major product lines. We have also begun the process of BICSI certification for all technicians. All Project Managers and Program Managers are required to complete BICSI RCDD certification within a year of their hire date, and are strongly encouraged to pursue PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
